This policy explains what information QuotePing processes, why we need it, which service providers help us, and the choices available to you.
Who is responsible
QuotePing, operated under the ITworks business name, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@quoteping.online.
Information we collect
We process account information such as your name, email address, authentication records, and support communications. When you use the service, we store the quote information you choose to enter, including customer names, contact details, services, quote values, dates, channels, follow-up stages, and outcomes.
We also receive limited technical and usage information needed for security, operation, aggregated website analytics, and advertising measurement, including page visits and whether an ad visit led to an account or purchase.
Customer information you enter
QuotePing users may enter information about their own customers. The user remains responsible for having a lawful basis to collect, store, and contact those people. We process that information to provide the service on the user's instructions and do not use it to advertise to those customers.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, provide the quote and follow-up tools, save user choices, process and support subscriptions, respond to requests, diagnose problems, prevent misuse, understand aggregated usage, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Payments
Paddle processes QuotePing subscription payments and acts as merchant of record. QuotePing does not receive or store full card numbers. Paddle may give us transaction and subscription details such as customer email, amount, currency, payment status, customer ID, and subscription status. Processing is also subject to Paddle's privacy policy.
Service providers
We use service providers only where needed to operate QuotePing:
- Supabase for authentication and database services.
- Vercel for website hosting and privacy-focused, aggregated web analytics.
- Google Ads for measuring ad visits, account signups, and verified purchases. We disable personalised-ad signals in our site tag.
- Paddle as merchant of record and for payment, tax, refund, and subscription processing.
These providers may process information in South Africa or other countries under their own safeguards and applicable data-protection requirements.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to the service providers above, when required by law or a valid legal process, to protect users and the service, or as part of a legitimate business transfer subject to appropriate protections.
Retention and security
We retain account and quote information while it is needed to provide the service and for reasonable legal, security, billing, and backup purposes. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online system can promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with your account, object to or restrict certain processing, or raise a privacy complaint, subject to applicable law and necessary record-keeping. Send requests from your account email to support@quoteping.online.
Children and policy changes
QuotePing is a business service and is not intended for children. We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. Material updates will be communicated where reasonably required, and the date at the top will be revised.
